Course Overview
Mixed Supplier Runs (also known as “Milk Runs”) are a defining element of the Lean approach to supply chain management. This course illustrates the advantages of Mixed Supplier Runs, and then goes on to explain how they operate in different circumstances.
The Mixed Supplier Run approach supports Just-in-Time thinking and is an extension of Lean principles beyond the internal operations of an organization. By following this method, you will be able to ensure your organization is receiving from suppliers: what it needs, when it is needed, in the quantity that is needed.
