In this course, the main focus will be on how to establish an efficient layout based on proper utilization of flow and equipment placement. This includes how the sequence of flow influences machine placement and how machinery is placed within a sequence of processes. Other topics include when and where to place storage spaces, and how to design a layout that is both flexible and agile. All these concepts also help facilitate the process of waste elimination.
