    Lean is a systematic approach used to identify and
    eliminate wasteful activities within an organization… and any business practice that is characterized by the endless pursuit of waste elimination where a manufacturer that uses
    the minimum amount of materials, money, machines, space, people, etc. can be classifed as Lean

    In Lean philosophy, continuous improvement is called
    #kaizen, a Japanese word that literally translated means
    “change for the better.”

    7 Wastes : Defects, Inventory, Processing, Waiting, Motion, Transportation, and Overproduction. Tese 7 Wastes are
    common steps within any operation which add no value to the customer. Tese original 7 Wastes were described
    by Taiichi Ohno, and have since been added on to as Lean moves into industries that deal with more than
    physical production
